Apple HomeView Unveiled: Features, Price and Release Date

Apple has unveiled Apple HomeView, a new smart home display designed to bring entertainment, communication and home automation together in one device. Featuring a 7-inch Liquid Retina display and the Siri AI assistant powered by Apple Intelligence, HomeView offers personalized experiences for household members.
The device combines smart home controls, video calls, music playback and home monitoring in a single interface. Apple says privacy and security are central to its design.
Apple HomeView Features
7-inch Liquid Retina Display
Apple HomeView features a 7-inch Liquid Retina display with True Tone technology and automatic brightness adjustment. Brightness can reach 500 nits and drop to as low as 0.3 nits, making the display suitable for both bright rooms and nighttime use.
Its design features an adjustable hinge that allows the screen to tilt for comfortable viewing. The interface can adapt to the user’s distance, displaying simpler information from across the room and more detail when the user moves closer.
HomeView is available in silver, starlight, rose pink and space gray. The wall-mounted version comes in silver and space gray.
Siri AI and Apple Intelligence
One of HomeView’s main features is Siri AI, Apple’s voice assistant designed to offer more conversational interactions and broader knowledge.
Users can ask questions, discover music and interact with information displayed on the screen. When paired with a compatible iPhone or iPad with Apple Intelligence enabled, Siri AI can also use relevant personal context from supported apps to provide more personalized responses.
Personalized Experiences for Up to Six Users
HomeView can recognize up to six people using facial recognition. Each household member can have a personalized Home Screen with individual apps and widgets.
Personal information remains private between users, while shared photo albums and music can be accessed by the household.
Smart Home Controls
Apple HomeView acts as a central dashboard for compatible smart home devices. Users can control lights, adjust thermostats, lock doors, close blinds and view security camera feeds using the touchscreen or Siri.
The device works with Apple Home-compatible products and Matter-enabled accessories, allowing users to manage supported devices from one interface.
FaceTime, Music and Entertainment
The device supports FaceTime video calls, with Center Stage helping keep participants in the frame as they move. Users can also read and respond to Messages by voice or through the on-screen keyboard.
Entertainment options include Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Apple TV and compatible third-party audio and video apps. Its audio system features two full-range drivers, a down-firing woofer and two passive radiators. Spatial Audio and computational audio processing are designed to deliver room-filling sound.
The Handoff feature lets users continue listening to music from an iPhone by bringing the phone close to the HomeView display.
Privacy and Security
Apple says HomeView is designed with privacy and security in mind. Personal content can be protected through user recognition and compatible Apple device requirements. Siri requests can be processed on the device or through Apple’s Private Cloud Compute infrastructure.
