Rolls-Royce’s fully electric model Spectre stands out as a vehicle with growing collector value, supported by a 15-year battery warranty with no mileage limit that reflects the brand’s long-term ownership philosophy. In 2025, Spectre became the second most in-demand Rolls-Royce model worldwide.
Spectre’s position in the collector world
Rolls-Royce Spectre is increasingly regarded as a permanent fixture within the brand’s Goodwood-era collector portfolio. Spectre and Black Badge Spectre surpassed the launch performances of Wraith and Dawn in their first full year of sales, indicating that customers have embraced Spectre as a modern interpretation of Rolls-Royce’s heritage.
The year 2025 was marked by the delivery of numerous Spectre models featuring a high level of Bespoke craftsmanship. This trend suggests that customers view Spectre not as a short-term purchase, but as a long-term vehicle with strong emotional value. Bespoke commissions inspired by personal stories further highlight the diversity of global interest in the model.
Design approach: Spectre as a future classic
Spectre’s design plays a central role in its positioning as a future classic. Its monolithic form, clean surfaces and balanced proportions reinterpret Rolls-Royce’s timeless design language through a contemporary lens. The split headlamp design, referencing the Phantom Coupé, and the iconic Pantheon grille give Spectre a strong visual identity.
Inside, features such as Starlight Doors and the Illuminated Fascia extend the brand’s Bespoke philosophy into the electric era.
15-year battery warranty with no mileage limit
Spectre carries Rolls-Royce’s long-standing focus on durability and longevity into its electric powertrain. The brand offers a 15-year battery warranty with no mileage limit as standard for all new and existing Spectre models. This warranty reflects Rolls-Royce’s confidence in the long-term performance of its electric vehicles.
A 2.5-million-kilometre validation programme
As part of the most comprehensive engineering validation programme in Rolls-Royce history, Spectre underwent testing totalling 2.5 million kilometres. Following this programme, a Spectre prototype completed 100,000 kilometres of real-world driving and charging across different climates and regions, retaining 99 percent of its battery capacity.
Rolls-Royce also confirmed that replacement battery supply is secured beyond the middle of the century and that long-term support will continue for all Spectre models, in line with customer expectations.
Chris Brownridge, Chief Executive of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, described Spectre as a defining milestone in the company’s history, noting that it has become the brand’s most successful coupé launch to date. According to Brownridge, customers instinctively recognise Spectre as a Rolls-Royce designed to be passed down through generations, a perception clearly reflected in its market performance.
