Roborock

Roborock, operating in the field of home robotics, unveiled its Saros 20 and Saros 20 Sonic models at CES 2026. With the new series, the company aims to raise the level of autonomy in home cleaning through a threshold-crossing smart chassis system, advanced navigation infrastructure and automated maintenance features.

Threshold-crossing mobility with AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0

The Saros 20 is designed with the AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0 smart chassis system, enabling it to overcome dual-layer thresholds of up to 4.5 centimeters. Combining liftable main and auxiliary wheels with a climbing arm, the system analyzes transition points and determines the most suitable movement method. This structure is intended to provide uninterrupted cleaning between rooms.

Advanced navigation and object recognition

The StarSight Autonomous System 2.0 featured in the model can recognize more than 200 types of objects through three-dimensional perception technology. Enhanced obstacle detection and avoidance capabilities allow the robot to navigate complex home environments with greater precision. Its 7.98-centimeter ultra-slim body also makes it easier to reach narrow areas such as under sofas and beds.

Automatic cleaning scenarios based on floor type

The Saros 20 can automatically adjust its cleaning modes according to different floor types. While the mops are lifted on carpets to switch to vacuum-only mode, mopping is activated on hard floors. The “Deep Carpet Cleaning” mode, which can be enabled via the Roborock app, is designed to deliver stronger performance on medium- and high-pile carpets.

FlexiArm system for edges and corners

The FlexiArm system included in the series offers an expandable structure for edge and corner cleaning. This system is designed to operate closer to baseboards and furniture edges, targeting dust accumulation along borders. Under test conditions, it is reported to operate with a goal of full edge and corner coverage.

Saros 20 Sonic: enhanced mopping and suction performance

The flagship Saros 20 Sonic combines the autonomous infrastructure of the Saros 20 with higher cleaning performance. Its VibraRise 5.0 Sonic mopping system generates 4,000 vibrations per minute, helping to loosen dried stains. The extendable single mop head reaches baseboards, enabling edge-to-edge mopping.

Equipped with 35,000 Pa suction power, the model is designed to remove dust and debris embedded in carpet fibers, while the dual anti-tangling system aims to ensure uninterrupted operation with long hair and pet fur. Users can independently adjust water flow and vibration intensity through the app.

New RockDock for automated maintenance

The new RockDock station introduced at CES 2026 offers a maintenance infrastructure that largely automates the cleaning process. The system washes the mops with 100-degree hot water and performs drying with 55-degree hot air. During this process, the dust bag and internal air channels are also intended to be dried.

RockDock is supported by features such as automatic detergent dosing, automatic dust emptying for up to 65 days and fast charging. Offered with an optional refill and drainage system, the station is designed to minimize user intervention.

With the Saros 20 and Saros 20 Sonic models, Roborock aims to deliver higher autonomy in home cleaning, personalized cleaning scenarios and advanced maintenance features. With the new series showcased at CES 2026, the company has expanded its range of smart cleaning solutions.
