ASUS has announced the Zenbook DUO (2026) UX8407, the latest member of its dual-screen laptop lineup. The new model targets professional users and content creators with a more compact chassis, updated hardware components, and design improvements that further enhance the dual-screen experience.
Lighter and more durable design with Ceraluminum chassis
The Zenbook DUO (2026) features ASUS’s Ceraluminum chassis, designed to combine the tactile warmth of ceramic with the durability of aluminum. Compared to the previous generation, the chassis has been reduced in size by 5 percent, offering improved portability for users who work on the move.
A redesigned integrated kickstand and hidden hinge structure provide stability across different usage modes. The reinforced Bluetooth keyboard can be securely positioned between the two displays thanks to the MagLatch docking system and retractable pogo pins.
AI-focused performance
At the hardware level, the Zenbook DUO is powered by the Intel Core Ultra X9 Series 3 processor. In addition to delivering improvements in computing and graphics performance, the processor provides up to 180 TOPS of artificial intelligence performance. The system is supported by a 99 Wh dual-battery setup, aiming to deliver all-day productivity even under demanding workloads.
On the cooling side, CNC-machined air vents with expanded surface area and 97-blade fans enhance thermal efficiency. This design allows the device to reach a 45W TDP while maintaining quiet operation.
A more seamless dual-screen experience
The Zenbook DUO (2026) UX8407 comes equipped with two 14-inch 3K ASUS Lumina Pro OLED displays. By reducing the gap between the screens by 70 percent, ASUS has created a nearly continuous viewing area that feels closer to a single, unified display.
Each OLED panel offers up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness, a 48–144Hz variable refresh rate, and an anti-reflective coating. Dolby Vision-certified displays are designed to support both productivity tasks and immersive visual content. The updated ScreenXpert software automatically activates sharing and collaboration modes when the lid is opened beyond 175 degrees.
Audio and multimedia features
The new model includes a six-speaker audio system. Front-firing tweeters integrated into the hinge mechanism and dual-diaphragm woofers work together to deliver a Dolby Atmos-supported audio experience. This setup aims to position the Zenbook DUO as a device suited for both professional work and entertainment.
With the Zenbook DUO (2026) UX8407, ASUS continues to refine its dual-screen laptop concept, offering a thinner, more powerful, and more integrated solution for modern workflows.
